Re: Shaz Browser Update
Nice new layout. Seems every bug previously mentioned has been worked out (except for getting the sidebar on the side
). One thing though: it's substantially more laggy than the regular Whirled client when you're actually playing. Not exactly sure what's causing it yet, I'm trying to figure it out. Good work though, It's definitely a step up from what we had previously.
EDIT 1: Quick bug: links to Whirled threads on the "Me" tab open in the real whirled client (pop-up asks if you want to navigate away, OK opens it in whirled.com). Other links may have this effect.
EDIT 2: The forum, chat, and Whirled can't be loaded simultaneously like before; going to one closes the other.
EDIT 3: The forums seem to be pretty laggy again, I strongly suspect this may be causing the browser's lag, considering it's hosted on the forums. Try moving it to another location, and see if that helps.
EDIT 4: It's the forum that's causing the lag. I copied the HTML into a document and ran it from my computer; no abnormal lag to speak of.
EDIT 5: Forum lag is atrocious; my browser has gone unresponsive more than once. Perhaps we should consider that new forum host again.

Re: Shaz Browser Update
OK, just a quick re-brief of the situation; the forums have been the subject of some abnormal lag as of late. Here's a quick list of facts I've compiled after a little testing.
-Lag when browsing the forums is primarily caused by the background image. Blocking it with Adblock Plus instantly removes the lag. The image is fairly large and hosted on a free image hosting site; that basically explains the problem. We should attempt to use a small image suitable for tiling.
-The lag on the Shaz Browser is caused by the forums, but not the background image. Running the browser locally produced no lag, so we can assume the forum's sub-par hosting is the cause. Perhaps we could find another place to host the browser (maybe that homepage that we don't use?)

I don't know what you are talking about. I don't have any lag. :/
I've removed the background image, tell if it helps.

The forums seem to move a bit slower when the background image is in place. Maybe it's because the image has to scroll with the page, I'm not sure. If anyone else is having the problem, say so, otherwise it might just be me (and my horrible ISP).
